About the Role

With strong organizational and leadership skills, the Materials Operations Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, transportation, and supply chain processes. Supervise a team of warehouse staff and other materials specialists. Build a professional team through development, communication, and delegation.

Responsibilities
  • Manage logistics of plant inclusive of moving of materials/inventory, transportation, and shipping
  • Manage and develop materials staff
  • Manage inventory reconciliation
  • Manage production schedule
  • Manage receiving, and transport scheduling
  • Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements
  • Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost.
  • Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met
  • Manage purchasing, MRP, and Inbound raw materials
  • Manage receiving inspection and warehousing
  • Work with systems used for Inventory Control (NetSuite)
  • Partner and communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers
  • Create and manage budgets
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, Business Administration, Transportation, or Engineering, preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations.
  • Experience in Plant Logistics
  • Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
  • Strong team player with the ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct reports
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • MRP experience
