pKa Intern, Summer 2023
We're seeking a pKa Intern to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods.
As a member of our Materials Science team, you'll aid our collaboration with a provider of ionizable lipids for COVID-19 vaccines. By helping us to reliably predict trends of the apparent pKa values and provide a rationalization for the observed patterns, you'll add significant value to our work with mRNA/LNP formulators.

Estimated base salary (NYC only): $7,500/mo. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs. What you'll do:
- Help us decide what calculations to perform (which ionizable lipids to study and the formulation composition)
- Measure the apparent pKa values of the ionizable lipids in a standard, well-validated manner
- Provide feedback on the impact of the calculations
What you should have:
- At least one year of graduate education
- Familiarity with molecular simulation
- Linux experience
- Bash and Python programming proficiency is a plus
