Republic Services is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual looking for an opportunity that will allow them to showcase their talents and have an impact in a strategic growth area. Our ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity and demonstrates problem-solving leadership with limited oversight. This program is designed to give hands-on experience to develop and articulate proposals to leaders to help guide the future business.

The MBA Internship Program is a paid internship that provides experience in our Corporate Business Development team at our Headquarters in Phoenix, AZ. This opportunity is designed to give high potential team members exposure to our leadership teams through business impacting project work. Republic Services invests in professional growth through access to leadership development opportunities and interactions with leaders throughout our business. In 2021, these teams were responsible for deploying over $1B in acquisition capital, across 25 separate transactions. Through the 1H of 2022 we have already deployed over $2B in acquisitions, led by our acquisition of US Ecology.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Completing market research and competitive analysis used in developing strategy and solutions
• Develop, articulate, and present ideas/strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Performs assigned duties in various functional areas to learn about the solid waste and environmental services industry and business operations.
• Execute and complete tasks supporting a project deliverable identified by functional managers within the timeframe of the internship program
• Understands how to influence financial impact and drive business forward
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently in the first year of an MBA program
• Ability to complete a 10-week program in Phoenix, AZ beginning in June
