POSITION SUMMARY: The MBA Internship Program is a paid internship that provides experience in our field operations, along with exposure to our executive leadership team through focused project work. Interns are placed in locations throughout the country, a program manager guides the cohort through the program, and each intern is assigned a dedicated mentor. Republic Services invests in professional growth through access to leadership development opportunities and interactions with leaders throughout our business. Experience gained through this program will differentiate you from other candidates applying to our selective General Manager Accelerated Program, which interns are considered for based on performance.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs assigned duties in various functional areas to learn about the solid waste and environmental services industry and business operations.
• Contributes to departmental goals and identifies improvement growth opportunities while participating in activities in functional areas such as Operations, Finance, Accounting, Maintenance, Sales or Administration.
• Executes and completes specific tasks and project deliverables identified by functional managers within the timeframe of the internship program.
• Creates documents and correspondence pertaining to project deliverables.
• Understands how to influence financial impact and drive business forward.
• Engages with our employees through a structured rotation program.
• Adheres to the guidelines of formal written training program.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Currently in the first year of a MBA program
• Ability to complete a 10 week program beginning in June
