Wholesaling, Third Party Advisor

The Wholesaling and Relationship Management team enables our third-party advisors to provide objective and comprehensive advice across the full financial spectrum of TIAA solutions aligned with their clients' long-term interests. The team provides expertise in TIAA's core products and introduces other TIAA offerings and partners where appropriate. The Sr Dir, Wholesaling is responsible for developing a strategy and leading a team that will engage our third-party advisors in a proactive and effective manner. The role will be responsible for building and developing a team. This job requires a deep understanding of our core products and how third-party advisors should leverage them with their clients. The job will require travel for in person meetings and conferences.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Coaches and motivates the team to effectively and efficiently engage third party advisors in the use of our core products.
  • Educates third party advisors on TIAA core products and introduces other TIAA offerings.
  • Partners effectively with the service team, Nuveen, and other internal resources.
  • Ensures consistent messaging of TIAA value prop and implementation of integrated solutions.
  • Manages performance of team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of strategic initiatives, and to foster the engagement, motivation, and development of team.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 8+ Years Required; 10+ Years Preferred

FINRA Registrations

  • SRC Indicator: Series 7; Series 63; Series 65; Series 66; Series 24

  • 10+ years of investment advisory sales and third-party relationship management experience and 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Strong solutions-selling client relationship management skills
  • Ability to think critically and find creative, practical solutions to achieve objectives
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentations and public speaking
  • Ability to adapt to and initiate change
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional groups and support senior management
  • A highly collaborative business partner who can effectively manage and influence relationships that are widely dispersed both functionally and geographically

Base Pay Range: $120,000/yr. - $188,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
