Perficient currently has a career opportunity for an MDM Architect. This is a hands on role. While our headquarters location is St. Louis, MO, this position is remote and can be based anywhere within the United States.

Job Overview:

The MDM Architect plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust Master Data Management solutions. As an MDM Architect, you'll be responsible for solution architecture, data integration, data quality, and development of rules to create a golden record (match, merge, de-duplicate), as well as survivorship, taxonomies, hierarchies and principles of governing mastered data.

You will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients' business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance to enterprise data team on master data management (MDM) best practices, architecture and governance across multiple domains and tools.
  • Design and build out the product data domain while determining integration points between PIM, PLM and product/material master.
  • Ability to apply MDM principals to non-traditional master data domains.
  • Collaborate with other teams to gather MDM requirements and conduct onsite/hybrid discovery workshops
  • Work with governance team to determine data stewardship roles and requirements.
  • Assist as necessary to create request for proposal (RFP) documents to aid in tool selection.
  • Solution Architecture:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to design MDM solutions that align with business requirements.
    • Provide technical recommendations and guidance during solution implementation.
    • Envision and plan MDM solution goals for specific projects or application areas (e.g., Products, Suppliers, Customers, Industry Specific Data Domains).
  • Data Integration and ETL:
    • Develop data integration processes (eg data syndication)
    • Ensure high-quality and scalable solutions.
  • Data Quality and Governance:
    • Define, document and implement business rules
    • Work closely with team members to define standards and product roadmaps.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Drive excellence in MDM deliverables.
    • Optimize data usage within the organization.
    • Collaborate with team members to enhance MDM and governance capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in data integration
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience designing and implementing MDM solutions
  • Proven knowledge of the product/material master data domain
  • Minimum 3 implementations of MDM, data quality & data governance
  • Knowledge of AI technologies and how they can apply and leverage master data
  • At least 5 years of experience in a professional services company, consulting firm, or agency
  • Have a solid understanding of delivery methodology and lead teams in the implementation of the solution according to the design/architecture.
  • Experience in project and solution estimation and team structure definition.
  • Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction.
  • Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point.
  • Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
  • Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
  • Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members.

Nice to Have:

  • Proven knowledge of other master data domains
  • Experience with one or more MDM solutions from: Informatica, SAP, Oracle, Reltio, Ataccama, IBM, etc

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $81,978 to $178,090. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
