MDM Data Analyst I

The MDM Data Analyst I is responsible for the assessment, improvement, and appropriate use of data by applying critical analysis and knowledge of our systems in the execution of responsibilities. Working with internal and external customers to collect, capture, modify, categorize, index, and prepare all relevant mastered location and customer data domains and Master

Data Management (MDM) systems.

Essential Job Functions *

1. Monitor the state of data quality within discipline area(s)

2. Establish goals for data quality improvement

3. Identify the best approaches for resolving data quality issues

4. Escalate problems where necessary to leaders of the data quality initiative

5. Manages day-to-day support of data add/change requests

6. Analyzes business processes and determines how they can be changed or better supported to improve outcomes

7. Responsible for collection input accuracy and standardization of vendor and location data in the master data management system-either manually or via an automated import

Education & Experience

Bachelors in Business or related field

Competencies - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Excellent analytical skills are required • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Knowledge of query tools (e.g. WebFOCUS, SQL, etc.) • Excellent communication and presentation (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills - able to work effectively with all user levels • Functional knowledge and experience with ERP disciplines preferred (e.g. Item Master & Branch Plant, Item and Customer Profiles, Bill of Materials, Address Book: Customers, Employees & Vendors, Pricing & Retails, EDI Transaction Management, etc). • Understanding business processes, how data is used, and its impact
