Mechanical Claims Specialist (Remote/Hybrid)

Who We Are Looking For?
Fidelity Warranty Services, Inc. (FWS), a subsidiary of JM&A, is looking for a Mechanical Claims Specialist to join our growing customer contact team. As a Mechanical Claims Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining our reputation of honesty, fairness, and excellence by combining exceptional customer service and your automotive expertise to assist customers through our customer contact center.
Responsibilities:

You will be part of a team that reviews, investigates, and authorizes minor mechanical claims based on a wide range of established contract guidelinesÂ

You will be communicating via telephone and email with retail and wholesale customers, repair facilities, and non-related parties to resolve and process claimsÂ

You will be utilizing a variety of technology and communication tools to process claims, review policies and procedures, labor times, and retrieve documentsÂ
-
You will be using tools such as AllData, Mitchell, and other Labor Guides to obtain labor times for specific minor mechanical repairsÂ
-
You will be working remotely or have a hybrid schedule (both in-office/work from home) if local (100 miles or less, one way) to one of our offices in Deerfield Beach, FL or St. Louis, MO
Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED preferred. Technical training is a plusÂ
-
At least two years of hands-on minor/entry-level automotive repair or equivalent automotive technical work preferred. ASE or equivalent Manufacturer certification a plus.Â

A thorough comprehension of the Theory of Automotive/Diesel Technology, Diagnostics and Maintenance. Knowledge of JM&A Products and Services a plusÂ

Excellent customer service skills, including strong verbal and written communication and the ability to use influence, negotiate, problem solve, and provide resolutions to handle claims.Â

Proficient use of technology and communication tools including Microsoft and web-based applications, email, instant message, and meeting platformsÂ

Strong problem-solving, evaluation, and time management skills.Â

Set up of a home office with consistent high-speed internet connection is needed for remote and hybrid work arrangement positions.Â

Bilingual (Spanish & English) candidates preferred.Â

Must be willing to travel to one of our offices for training at the onset, and available for additional travel throughout the year (minimum of 1x per quarter)

The pay range for this position is $37,440 - $81,384. Actual base pay will be determined by factors including candidate experience and qualifications, education and work location.
