We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support development of industry leading agriculture technology products in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment working with teams at multiple sites around the world.
Responsibilities

• Responsible for the engineering design and development of innovative products to meet customer requirements
• Work with cross functional teams around the world to ensure design quality, efficiency and manufacturability
• Participate in technical design review meetings and provide design direction and input
• Providing creative and innovative engineering solutions that aid in the resolution of field and manufacturing challenges
• Implementing all phases of project plans and monitoring progress per established schedule and budget targets
• Maintaining strong relationships with customers, field personnel and other Valmont departments
• Responsible for the detailed project documentation currently required by Valmont Product Development procedures
• Responsible for advancing technical competence to contribute new design concepts using the latest state-of-the-art technology
• Coordinating and conducting laboratory or field testing as situations dictate
• Provide technical support to other departments as required toward meeting the needs of our customers

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or related field
• 3-4 years of proven experience in mechanical design of electronic assemblies
• Proven experience in the design of metallic and nonmetallic enclosures, bezels, and housings
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
• Proven experience developing products in the mechanical design field
• Experience with design software for modeling and analysis
• Passion and integrity with the drive to excel and deliver exceptionally
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skill
• Strong workng knowledge of Microsoft Suite
