Fluidraās looking for aĀ Mechanical / Electro ā Mechanical Engineer to join ourĀ Pool Cleaning Robotics team at our West Coast office in Carlsbad, CA.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTEĀ
We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and improving our pool cleaning robots. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the performance, reliability, and efficiency of our products. Additionally, you will:Ā
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative pool cleaning robot solutions.
- Design detailed 3D models using SolidWorks.
- Integrate electrical and electronic systems and sensors into mechanical designs.
- Participate in the selection of appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for components.
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and simulations to optimize designs.
- Develop test methodology to validate new designs.
- Design and build prototypes for testing and validation, iterating on designs as needed.
- Identify root causes of component and system failures.
- Contribute to documentation and technical reports to communicate design intent and test results effectively.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs can be effectively and efficiently produced.

WHAT WE SEEK
- Entry to mid-level engineering experience in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and 3D CAD modeling.
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems is a plus with professional, educational, or hobby experience such as building and programming products like Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping technologies.

EDUCATION
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

ExpectedĀ salaryĀ range is $75,000 - $130,000.Ā FluidraĀ offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes baseĀ salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching,Ā paidĀ vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actualĀ salaryĀ offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications,Ā experienceĀ and location.
