This Engineer will support the electronics packaging design and development of high- performance communication products, such as sophisticated software-defined radios and data links designed for use in various ground, airborne, and space applications.Successful candidates should expect to be immersed in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment where an individual with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive. • Apply mechanical engineering principles and techniques to design, develop, document, verify, and support sustainment of communications products
• Creation and modification of mechanical design artifacts (models, drawings)
• Support prototype build and verification and pre-qualification testing
• Work closely with a multidiscipline team to ensure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of a product's lifecycle, including supporting integration, testing and qualification of the final product.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD). Includes working knowledge of model creation, interrogation with a CAD tool (examples may include NX and/or Solidworks).

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience with machined and sheet metal manufacturing methodologies
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and/or DO-160 environmental requirements
• Familiarity of electronic product packaging requirements
• Experience with Agile development methodologies, including planning, tracking, and managing hardware
