Fluidra is seeking a Mechanical Engineer IV to join the underwater robotic Engineering team at our West Coast office in Carlsbad, CA.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
The ideal candidate will be a mechanical engineer with mechanical or electromechanical design experience. This engineer will work as a key member within an engineering team to develop autonomous underwater robotic equipment. Additionally, you will:
- To be a key project leader in the development of new products
- Manage engineering project schedules
- Identify project resource requirements and delegate responsibilities to drafters, designers, and test lab as needed
- Design parts and assemblies using SolidWorks CAD software
- Utilization of in-house and/or outsourced prototyping resources
- Participate in cross functional product development programs
- Work with suppliers
- Develop test plans and document test results
WHAT WE SEEK
- 5 or more years of mechanical engineering experience
- Proficient mechanical design skills using SolidWorks CAD software
- Ability to work independently, as a team member, and as a team lead
- Proven track record of accomplished projects with increasing responsibilities
- Willing to travelling domestically and internationally
- Leadership experience preferred
- Experience focusing on new product development preferred
- Working knowledge of dynamic assemblies (hinges, gears, bearings, or similar) preferred
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding and tooling preferred
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Expected salary range is $100,000 - $120,000. Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
