Mechatronics Test Engineer Intern - The Toro Company

This position in based at TTC's headquarters in Bloomington, MN and supports all TTC brands. This engineering team provides test support for electronic/mechatronics components test, battery test, and hardware-in-loop software test. Electronics and mechatronics (motors, linear actuators, etc) have been used on Toro products for many years, with increasing usage due to the growth of electrified and robotic products.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

• Design Project TBD - Specific project based on candidate interests and skills. Examples of past projects will be discussed during the interview.

• Component Testing Project(s)

o Designing test plans for electronic and mechatronic components

o Plan data acquisition systems for component testing

o Analyze test data to identify trends and failure modes

o Report test results and design recommendations

• Hardware-in-Loop Project(s)

o Designing software test sequences based on requirements documents

o Implement new test methods using LabVIEW and TestStand

• Assist with other mechatronics projects within the group

• Develop necessary skills to work as an engineer in the mechatronics field

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following:

• Preferred Majors: 2+ Years Completed of Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering Degree

• Preferred Skills: C/C++/Arduino, LabVIEW, Microsoft Office Suite, Soldering, Wiring, Electrical Schematics, DC Circuits, Embedded Systems
