Under the direction and supervision of an advanced practice provider (APP), nurse, Medical Assistant and/or physician, a Medical Assistant student collects data, performs treatments, reinforces provider education, and assists the provider with procedures. Current student of a Medical Assistant program which requires student's practical experiences as a Medical Assistant.Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required by the start of onsite clinical rotation. Ability to work with a diverse patient population to promote a culturally competent environment.Physical ability to lift and position patients weighing up to 75 pounds, as well as push and pull when performing cleaning functions.Frequently bends, lifts, twists, reached, and squats.Occasionally push/pulls and does overhead work.
