Media Literacy Trainer

Job Title: Media Literacy Trainer (12-Month Contract)

Proposed Remuneration: Rs 9,00,000 to Rs 12,00,000 (based on experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our media literacy initiatives as a trainer and program manager.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deliver comprehensive media literacy and fact-checking training programs for diverse audiences, including online and offline workshops.

2. Enhance Logically Facts’ curricula and courses tailored to different demographics, with a focus on age groups 6-16 and 60+.

3. Manage our online training videos and modules.

4. Lead research and media literacy projects in collaboration with educators and fact-checking communities.

5. Oversee the onboarding and training of new employees in fact-checking workflows and industry best practices.

6. Work towards enhancing and creating health, climate, AI, digital, and financial literacy training modules.

7. Work with audience engagement and multimedia teams to develop video materials and monetizable modules.

8. Manage and expand partnerships with fact-checking organizations, NGOs, and educational initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

1. Extensive knowledge of fact-checking methodologies and misinformation/disinformation concepts.

2. Strong understanding of media literacy principles and current trends.

3. Proficiency in using online debunking tools and staying updated with the latest fact-checking technologies.

4. Proven experience in curriculum design and teaching/training, preferably in digital literacy or related fields.

5. Ability to think strategically at both macro and micro levels.

6. Experience in program management and development.

7. Familiarity with academic technology tools and resources.

8. Strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Active participation in media literacy networks or communities.

2. Experience in creating monetizable educational content.

3. Background in journalism, digital media, or related fields.
