Media Room Associate
Job Description
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Distribute morning reports weekly.
- Fulfill literature requests as needed
- Process Discrete Jobs for manuals/literature/labels.
- Create new/Edit existing label files in Brady Workstation and Microsoft Word for production printing.
- Create booklets/cards for HR when necessary
- Create CD's with manuals per customer requests.
- Assemble manuals per customer requests.
- Fulfill all requests for copies as necessary.
- Fill free-take area with most popular literature and forms for production
- Process incoming and outgoing mail as needed.
- Maintain postage meter (fill with postage, order supplies and maintenance)
- Maintain copier/printer -order supplies and call for service.
- Maintain inventory stock in Media Room
- Develop and maintain work instructions for media room as needed.
- Stock paper in cabinets by three office printers.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work environment following the 5S standards.
- Shred-it Custodian (assist in shredding process)
- Research and recommend equipment purchases for the Media Room
- Perform duties in multiple Assembly Departments as assigned.
- Perform a variety of assembly operations to assemble small and medium sized units involving a considerable amount of parts.
- Recognize defective parts.
- Work from drawings, specifications and work instructions using required measuring instruments and gauging devices
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Knowledge of standard manufacturing and business tools, including Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of inventory systems and practices.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written business correspondence.
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize department specific computer programs and software.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Ability to manage commitments.
- Ability to present an idea to a group.
- Ability to interface with customers and contractors.
- Ability to display a high level of organizational skill, attention to detail, and proofreading skill in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to operate office equipment including fax machine, scanner, printer, copier, laminator, folding machine, binding machine, and electronic paper cutter.
- Ability to learn to set-up, run and troubleshoot new equipment introduced to department.
- Ability to read policies, procedures, picklists, routings and work instructions.
- Ability to count by hand or scale.
Physical Demands:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or touch. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
- The employee is regularly required to lift and carry up to 10 lbs. The employee is occasionally required to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. when moving literature and stocking paper.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The employee is occasionally required to travel for work/job related purposes.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Personal protective equipment required to safely perform this job includes safety shoes, safety glasses, vinyl gloves and hearing protection when required. Hair must be pulled back and no jewelry may be worn when operating any power equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of related experience.
