Job Summary
RPA is seeking an energetic, quick-thinking Supervisor to join the Acura Media Strategy Team. This is a great opportunity to work on the lower funnel, retail initiatives of an exciting luxury auto brand. The supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of the retail business, including working closely with the team responsible for Acura’s brand-building and model launch initiatives and key Tier 3 stakeholders to develop complementing plans.Â
This position is focused on local video planning and performance channel strategy coordination (auto endemic, social, programmatic). The ideal candidate has strong working knowledge of video planning (linear and streaming), is a self-starter, and a strong communicator who can collaborate effectively across several RPA teams, partner agencies, and local clients. The individual in this role will manage and mentor a team of junior level employees while also effectively managing up to the Associate Media Director. Â
What You’ll Be Working OnÂ
- Create effective retail media strategies informed by local market needs and brand/model indicators
- Manage the development of local broadcast and streaming media plans tailored to local market needs and prioritiesÂ
- Act as the primary agency contact between Tier 1 and Tier 3 stakeholders:
- Work closely with the Tier 1 Acura strategy team to ensure cohesion with all brand and model launch initiatives
- Coordinate with Tier 1 digital teams and Tier 3 stakeholders to ensure alignment across digital initiatives
- Serve as the primary agency contact for local clients and Tier 3 stakeholders
- Lead the MediaTools workstream: cross-team coordination, checks and balances of inputs, and reconciliation process
- Present and sell retail recommendations and POVs to clients and Tier 3 stakeholders
- Travel to Regional Marketing Meetings, as necessary
- Ensure quality control of all plans and materials developed for clients
- Develop the skills and knowledge of junior employees; mentor junior employees on media planning concepts and industry trends
- Generate and maintain planning documents including, but not limited to, budgets, flowcharts, quarterly deliverables, and program POVs.Â
How You’ll Excel In Your RoleÂ
- Strong experience with video planning - TV Cost-outs, developing communication goals & creating recommendations (Local planning a plus but not required)
- Well-versed in digital media planning (understanding of available tactics, channel roles and applications to each part of the funnel)
- Working knowledge of major media planning tools, including syndicated research (Nielsen Media Impact, eTelmar platform, MRI, etc.), MediaTools, Kantar, eMarketer, etc.Â
- Highly proficient in Excel (V-lookups, pivot tables, etc.), PowerPoint, and WordÂ
- Attention to detail and impeccable organizational skills required
- Strong Math and analytical Skills
- Great communicator, including experience communicating with clients and external partner agencies
- Experience with managing junior level employees; teacher/mentorship skills
- Dynamic presentation skillsÂ
- A team player who is self-motivated, resourceful, and naturally curiousÂ
- Knowledge and experience with the Auto landscape, other luxury brands, or experience with the franchise business model (not required, but a bonus!)Â
- Local to Los Angeles or within driving distance to Torrance, CA.
This is an exempt position and is not eligible for overtime compensation.Â
The semi-monthly salary range for this position is $3,541.66 - $3,653.84, with an annualized equivalent of $85,000 - $95,000.
