DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fully functional and self-directed
• Provides formal mentorship
• High complexity assignments- owner
• Moderate complexity assignments - owner (1 or >)
• Low complexity assignments - provide oversight/review
• Regularly lead self and others and/or established as Product SME and/or established as specialist
• sees the whole picture and adjusts work accordingly
• Monitors multiple MVS/ VM consoles for media, if applicable.
• Performs server rotations on standalone ATLs with multiple software platforms.
• Monitors Thresholds for multiple platforms on a daily basis to insure sufficient resources exist
• Provides Netbackup access, monitoring and reporting
• Has familiarity with and supports multiple OS and/or components: MS basic office suite along with LEGATO, BACKUP EX, VERITAS, TSM, and others

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have direct reports but may mentor less experienced associates in the role.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required

• High school graduate and 2 year experience or higher degree and 1 year work experience.

Preferred

• Strong written / verbal communication skills
• Analytical skills
• MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint SharePoint
• JCL (read & code)
• Proficient knowledge of peripheral equipment on tape drives, servers, ATLs and others
• Performs projects and handles assignments effectively
• Drive process improvement
