How you'll make an impactĀAs a Media Trader at SonderMind, you will play an instrumental role in developing, negotiating, and executing media purchases across various channels and platforms that drive engagement, conversion, and appropriate retention for our clients. Your role will be central to the execution of media buying strategies, requiring agility and expertise with demand-side platforms (DSPs), private marketplace (PMP) deals, self-serve platforms, and managed services.Ā
The ideal candidate will be analytical and have a solid understanding of the media landscape. Although you won't be crafting advertising content from scratch, you will be collaborating with the content, marketing, and design teams to deliver and measure the impact of our media buying strategy. As a result, you should be detail-oriented and have a general understanding of what creative and ad placements are most likely to resonate and perform with our target audience segments.
Reporting directly to the Digital Marketing Manager, your work will be integral to our mission of expanding access to mental health care and improving overall client outcomes. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a media professional eager to grow and take on challenges in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Success looks likeĀ- Within one month, you will familiarize yourself with our target audience, marketing strategies, and current media buying programs. You will establish relationships with key stakeholders integral to our media buying strategy. You will gain a basic understanding of the therapy landscape and key competitors.
- Within two months, you will fully understand media buying performance metrics, begin to optimize our media campaigns, and take charge of most media procurement and execution targeted at our clients.
- Within three months, you will be a fully integrated team member, providing regular support for our media buying efforts, creating new strategies, managing existing programs and reporting to external stakeholders
What you'll doĀ
- Oversee media buying across various channels and platforms. Your expertise in demand-side platforms (DSPs), private marketplace (PMP) deals, self-serve platforms, and managed services will be crucial to efficiently procure media that aligns with our marketing goals.
- Working closely with our Marketing Analyst, you will review campaign performance and use your analyses to drive optimizations that maximize ROI and promote client engagement, conversion, and retention.
- You'll bring a strategic mindset to the development and execution of our media buying strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance reach, optimize budget allocation, and improve overall campaign performance.
- As a key member of our team, you will work closely with marketing, creative, and other departments, ensuring our media buying strategies integrate seamlessly into our broader marketing initiatives.
- By staying up-to-date on the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in media buying and trading, you will keep our strategies current and competitive.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in a media buying role or a similar position, with a demonstrated understanding of relevant platforms such as Google Display & Video 360 (DV360), The Trade Desk, data management platforms (DMP), PubMatic, Google Analytics, Tableau, Looker Studio, Integral Ad Science (IAS), Google Tag Manager, Google Campaign Manager and similar.
- You are skilled in various types of media buying, including but not limited to DSPs, PMP deals, self-serve platforms, and managed services.
- You are adept at performing high-level analyses of campaign performance, with a focus on maximizing ROI. Experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively share insights, present strategies, and coordinate with various stakeholders.
- You're organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills that enable you to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related fieldĀ
- HTML/CSS skills for email design and customization

The anticipated salary range for this role is $60,000- $75,000. This role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive plan.Ā Actual title and compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.Ā
