Medical Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our healthcare team in providing exceptional virtual patient care. The ideal candidate will assist in clinical and administrative duties, communicate effectively with patients, and maintain accurate medical records—all from a remote setting.

• Conduct virtual pre-visit assessments including collecting patient history and chief complaints virtually
• Schedule appointments and send reminders
• Document patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) accurately
• Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations
• Triage patient inquiries and escalate urgent concerns appropriately
• Coordinate lab orders and follow up on test results
• Prepare and send patient education materials and care instructions
• Support physicians and nurse practitioners during telehealth sessions
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other regulatory standards

• High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA) preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
• Familiarity with telemedicine platforms and electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
• High-speed internet connection and a quiet, professional home workspace
