The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of healthcare by leveraging your clinical experience, independent critical thinking, and expertise in a collaborative environment.

As a Medical Expert (RN, NP, CNM, PA), you’ll serve as a key clinical resource in your functional area(s). This role involves delivering evidence-informed sessions, offering guidance on various medical topics, and contributing to Carrot’s mission to optimize health and family-forming journeys. You’ll be at the forefront of this change.

Shift Requirements:

  • M-F, 12pm-8pm PST or
  • M, Tu, Th, Fri 10a-8p PST

Responsibilities:

  • Stay current on pregnancy trends in the U.S.
  • Understand reproductive and fertility regulatory trends and clinical practice guidelines in the U.S.
  • Utilize your clinical experience to engage in discussions and educate others.
  • Lend your expertise to participate in continuing education programs for Carrot employees as needed.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and audits to ensure a safe, compliant, and high-standard experience.

The team consists of a diverse group of individuals with medical expertise in areas such as pregnancy, fertility, mental health, and nutrition. They have a passion for continuous learning and education with an evidence-based approach.

  • Navigate their pregnancy and what to expect
  • understand their fertility and family-forming options
  • optimize their overall reproductive health


Minimum Qualifications: 

  • RN, NP, CNM, or PA
  • Minimum of 3 years providing ob/gyn care from pre-pregnancy-third trimester.
  • Superb listening skills and an ability to empathetically discuss pregnancy and fertility related topics
  • Ability to work independently and understand the difference between good clinical judgment and non-directive guidance 
  • Motivated to expand knowledge on pregnancy, lactation, parenting, and fertility topics
  • Ability to function well from a confidential and private work-remote environment (this is a 100% remote role)
  • Flexibility to adapt with evolving business needs


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing patient care in a fertility clinic or a hospital clinic that addresses reproductive health
  • Lactation certified or doula is a bonus but not a requirement
  • Fluent in any additional language skills is a bonus but not a requirement


Compensation: 

Carrot offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. The expected base salary for this position will range from $110,000-130,000. Actual compensation may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
