Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
 

  1.  Master's Degree in public health, psychology, social work, or other social science-related field. 
  2. Four years of experience that demonstrates knowledge of and experience in serving as a Prevention Director OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of comparable knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above. 
  3. Mastery knowledge of behavioral health prevention and response. 
  4. Knowledge of the military structure and environment preferred. 
  5. Skill to establish and maintain effective relationships with, and gain confidence and cooperation of, supervisors and managers to accept proposals on complex issues; and organize and communicate effectively orally and in writing at briefings and training sessions with Marine Corps leadership, media representatives, and in professional conferences and training workshops to encourage understanding and acceptance of programming. Skill to supervise employees in the accomplishment of work. 
  6. Must have practical experience developing and implementing behavioral health prevention and intervention programs. 
  7. Experience conducting presentations and delivering education and training using a variety of techniques and methods on behavioral health prevention programming.
  8. Experience preparing and obtaining training materials used in behavioral health prevention programs to include: lesson plans, resource guides, and video. 
  9. Comprehensive knowledge of designing and interpreting surveys, fact finding, using investigative techniques and presenting results; skill to analyze and evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of business practices to meet goals and objectives. 
  10. Skill to analyze and evaluate procedures and systems to improve operations; perform surveys to determine compliance with established policies and procedures, and establish sound management practices. 
  11. Must have practical experience in program management, including implementing complex processes and programs in a large enterprise; practical understanding and expert working knowledge of risk management principles, practices, and their methods of implementation across many objectives; and ability to work efficiently and proactively, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-dimensional projects in a fast-paced environment.
  12. This position has been determined as Non-Critical Sensitive. As a condition of employment, the incumbent must possess or be able to obtain and maintain an Access National Agency Check and Inquiries (T3/ANACI) Secret Clearance to access classified information.
