Our onsite Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) Fabrication is focused on the Manufacturing of MEMS sensors.As part of the MEMS team, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work with technology development partners to meet optimum design criteria to meet system level requirements.
- Design solutions for novel MEMS sensor packaging solutions

This position may be eligible for relocation assistance.What YOU will do:
- Implement the physical design of packages and modules for MEMS sensors.
- Define product validation and acceptance tests.
- Drive innovation, performance, cost and manufacturability improvements in package design together with vendors and system developers.
- Interface with cross-functional teams on package design.
- Support manufacturing operations for new product introduction and process troubleshooting.
- Identify and drive cost saving opportunities and/or performance improvement.
- Support current product investigations and troubleshooting
In this role you will gain valuable experience in:
- Application of MEMS technologies in the aerospace industry
- Novel MEMS solutions related to pressure, optical and inertial sensor applications
- Implementation of new materials and techniques to meet unique performance requirements
- Derive device-level solutions as a part of complex system design
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations, and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience, or in the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.Qualifications You Must Have:
- Working knowledge and experience of the Fab Processes and Flow
- Experience with CREO/ Solid Works
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here.
- BS or higher in Materials Science, Semiconductor Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Five + years of microfabrication/semiconductor design and/or manufacturing experience
- Solid fundamentals in either electrical/material/mechanical/chemical engineering field.
- Familiarity with various package configurations and assembly / substrate technology
- Substrate manufacturing process, structure, design rules and material properties.
- Ability to work with MEMS/system design team to translate requirement into package configuration
- Knowledge of failure analysis and relevant characterization techniques at package and silicon levels.
- Knowledge of stress/strain relevant to materials, silicon, packages, the associated failure modes, characterization. and modeling techniques
- Strong facilitation skills with ability to clearly communicate complex topics.
- Independently motivated with strong drive to deliver results
