What You’ll Do

The Merchandising Summer (June-August) Intern will acquire hands-on experience in bringing a brand to life. The Authentic Merchandising team oversees all phases of product development from concept state to production for respective product categories. As an intern on our team, you’ll learn the ins, outs, and nuts and bolts of what it takes to ensure products developed are in line with the brands product strategy, contractual definitions and aesthetic. 

 

What you’ll be working on

  • Design and Development - Working with partners to design a cohesive assortment for brands within the Authentic portfolio.
  • Designing a seasonal direction presentation for the upcoming year to send out to partners.
  • Trend Forecasting; learning how to use WGSN.
  • Learning the approval process and how to use our database.
  • Executing quality control 

 

Must Haves

  • Currently enrolled university student in a fashion or marketing program
  • Available to work up to 20 hours per week
  • Able to work onsite in our NYC office
  • Willingness to get your hands dirty and make things happen.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortability in a high-paced, collaborative environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and G Suite
  • Process-driven and constantly looking for ways to streamline and simplify complex tasks
