Club Monaco is an international men’s and women’s lifestyle brand with a distinctly urban casual point of view, best defined as a play of opposites: mixing vintage with new, hard with soft and eclecticism with minimalism. Each season, Club Monaco offers customers must have fashion and key pieces that together are the foundation of a modern wardrobe.

Club Monaco was recently acquired by Regent, LP, a leading private equity firm based in Beverly Hills.

Merchant, Men’s Merchandising will proactively work on the creation of product assortments and assigned category investment strategy to maximize sales and profitability. The role will report to Director, Men’s Merchandising

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops a customer focused business strategy to deliver the company’s financial goals.
  • Drives and communicates a global omni-channel vision of the brand by product category.
  • Manages and presents product brief to design based on real-time sales data, competitive landscape, and global financial goals including pricing and IMU.
  • Owns the relationship and communication between Merchandising and the cross-functional team to drive a collaborative working environment.
  • Leads weekly, monthly, and quarterly hindsight processes and provides recommendations for both near and long-term actions.
  • Works with design and production to quickly adapt on-order for emerging sales trends or declining product categories.
  • Develops their categories within the context of a global line to ensure product offering meets brand merchandising strategies and channel / regional needs.
  • Sets global price structure aligning to a good, better, best strategy. Brings creative solutions for costing challenges and operates with a keen understanding of the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborates with Tech Design to provide Merchandising perspective in seasonal and weekly fits.
  • Manages all product tools to ensure 100% accuracy, including PLM software and internal Excel-based maintenance.
  • Creates global Omni Brief and Product Knowledge to communicate key investments and product initiatives to Marketing, ECOM, Creative, and Store teams.
  • Leads product journey through to customer facing channels and final sales.
  • Assorts the line and partners with Merchandise Planning to deliver business strategy objective.
  • Drives the business through in-season management, assessment, and reaction to current trends. Focus on driving digital growth through ecommerce channels.
  • Build and lead an effective team and work successfully with all cross functional partners.

Skills/Behaviors

  • 4+ years’ experience in Merchandising or Buying. Vertical experience preferred.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience required.
  • Self-starter with intense attention to detail & deadliness
  • Strong understanding of trends within the marketplace and the Club Monaco customers.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Outlook, Word.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain respectful, strong relationships across the organization.
