Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
This role supports the Cox Communications business side of planning, organization and execution of specific project goals and objectives within the Integration Management Office (IMO) to bring about the successful completion of future mergers and acquisitions. Partners with project stakeholders, internal and external customers, and cross-functional teams. Supports a cross-functional team to execute on defined deliverables and drives key decisions. Common deliverables typically include the project charter, scope definition, requirements documents, work activities, project schedule, risk log, communication plan, resource plan, risk management plan, procurement plans, project budget, quality control plan, status updates, reporting, and tracking.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Leads medium/large and/or moderately complex projects under moderate to minimal supervision.
- Establishes and implements integration management processes and methodologies to ensure integrations are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet internal and external customer expectations.
- Supports end-to-end project implementation, from due diligence through integration and measuring deal success against established metrics.
- Supports integration planning, utilizing the integration playbooks to ensure project plans and work products are based on approved requirements.
- Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to define a transition plan, schedule resources, monitor progress, resolve issues, and mitigate risk.
- Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
- Supports IMO and leads project reporting, communications, governance and financial planning.
- Identify issues and risks which could cause or prevent delays and cause inefficiencies of IMO execution of acquisitions which may cause unnecessary delays and expense.
- Manages client expectations by managing and escalating issues and changes.
- Supports the creation and tracking of processes, procedures, and documentation that improves the execution of the Integration Management Office
- Provides Mergers & Acquisition (M&A integration) support for discrete initiatives with limited complexity.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (i.e., Management, Business, Process Improvement and Project Management) and 2 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a Master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; OR 6 years' experience in a related field without a college degree.
- Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and Smartsheets
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, communication, and relational skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
Preferred
- Experience in Telecomm and or Mergers & Acquisitions.
- Preferred Certification in CAPM, PMP, and/or Lean Six Sigma.
