About the Opportunity
The Metrics & Research Associate will assist with all aspects of the Clinton Foundation’s (CF) metrics and measurement work, including collecting and reviewing quarterly metrics, along with other quantitative and qualitative information; and providing general monitoring and evaluation (M&E) support to CF initiatives. The Associate will prepare deliverables to support the CF metrics work, including dashboards, surveys, landscape analyses, theories of change, and other materials. The Associate will conduct research on peer organizations, new M&E trends and approaches, and other related areas in connection with this work. Frequent engagement with CF initiatives will be required. The Associate will work closely with the Metrics team, as well as other groups and departments as necessary, to integrate the metrics data into current systems and verify the accuracy of information in CF documents and external communications.
This role will be relied on to conduct comprehensive and accurate research related to and analysis of the Clinton Foundation’s initiatives and programs’ metrics in order to inventory, measure, and advance the work of the Foundation. The Associate’s work will be important to the proper functioning of the Foundations’ metric’s work and will help inform how the information is collected, managed, and presented.
The Clinton Foundation Marketing and Communications team is responsible for developing external communications, campaigns, and creative content in service of advancing the work of the Clinton Foundation (CF) and understanding of President Clinton’s lifetime of public service. This team of communicators is comprised of writers, marketers, producers, media specialists, content and digital strategists, metrics and data analysts, and creative professionals. The Metrics team is part of the Marketing and Communications team and is responsible for developing internal communications and programmatic content, including briefings, memos, and reports for the principals, senior leadership, and the board. The Metrics team also handles the Clinton Foundation’s metrics and measurement work, including collecting and reviewing quarterly metrics, along with other quantitative and qualitative information; and providing general monitoring and evaluation (M&E) support to CF initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
In this role you will work on:
Data Management
- Collect qualitative and quantitative data from the initiatives to support the development of materials for the Board of Directors, Marketing, Communications, Development, and other departments. (These materials can include quarterly board programmatic updates, internal and external reports, press releases, grants, briefings, and memos, among other deliverables.)
- Verify the data and ensure that reported figures are standardized across mediums and deliverables.
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Provide a range of M&E support to initiatives, including (but not limited to): data cleaning, survey design, data analysis, theory of change development, and developing dashboards.
Editing and Briefings Support
- Assist with research, proofreading, and copyediting briefings, memos, and other deliverables.
- This can also include fact-checking research.
Research & Other Program Support
- Research peer organizations, M&E trends and other related areas in connection with the metrics exercise. Prepare submissions for charity rating organizations.
Minimum Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 1-2 years’ experience required
- Understanding of metrics, and quantitative and qualitative M&E methods, approaches, and trends. Understanding of and experience with survey design, data analysis, and theories of change.
- Experience with M&E-related topics, such as data cleaning.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS office (especially Excel) and Google Workspace (especially Google Sheets)
- Working knowledge of Survey design tools (such as MachForm) and Data visualization tools (such as Power BI)
- Excellent written, verbal, copyediting, and factchecking skills
- Ability to work in a varying schedule including nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays.
Compensation & Benefits
Our best estimate of the compensation range for this opportunity is $47 – 51K annually, depending on the experience you bring. This role is eligible for overtime pay.
