Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the operational risk management strategy aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational risks, incorporating innovative risk management practices and technology solutions.
• Enhance and maintain robust frameworks and policies for operational risk management, third-party risk management, and business continuity, aligned with global standards and meeting local regulatory requirements.
• Manage and maintain the operational losses and events database, analyzing trends for improved risk mitigation.
• Generate and submit regulatory reports on operational risk to senior management and relevant committees.
• Register and oversee operational risk events, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
• Oversee the governance of new products and features (NP&F), ensuring compliance and risk assessment.
• Enhance and implement risk training programs focused on operational risk, TPRM, and business continuity.
• Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership and external stakeholders on operational risk matters, ensuring transparent communication and effective stakeholder management.
• Stay ahead of evolving regulatory guidelines, technological advancements, and industry best practices in risk management, applying insights to strengthen our risk posture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, or a Risk Management related field. 
• Proven experience in operational risk management within the fintech sector.
• Experience in developing and implementing operational risk management strategies, frameworks, and policies, with a successful track record in managing complex risk portfolios.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in leading diverse teams and fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
• Excellent stakeholder management abilities, adept and engaging with senior leaders, regulators, and internal/external auditors.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, with exceptional communication skills to articulate complex risk scenarios and strategies effectively.
• Proficiency in using risk management software, tools, and agile methodologies is highly preferred.
• An ability to navigate and thrive in a technology-driven environment, with a strategic mindset towards leveraging technology in risk management to transform our day-to-day.
