Mgr- Deal Finance

Job Description

The Manager, Deal Finance will be responsible for working closely with the distribution team on the negotiation of multi-year distribution agreements. As part of these negotiations, this role will be responsible for analyzing proposals, running financial models, and providing recommendations for structure for AMC Networks businesses, which include linear ad-supported cable TV networks, SVOD services, and ad-supported streaming and on-demand services. The Manager, Deal Finance will report directly to the VP, Distribution and Advertising Finance. This position will be required to work closely with finance, distribution, ad sales, marketing, legal, and accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Distribution Renewals:
• Create financial models to reflect proposals as part of negotiations.
• Perform financial analysis of proposed economics and make recommendations for counter proposals.
• Summarize proposals for executive management.
• Review contractual provisions during negotiations to ensure economic terms within the financial model and contract agree.

• Analyze subscriber and financial history.
• Develop expertise on Distributor strategy and how each distributor positions their products in the marketplace, including the pricing and packaging of linear and SVOD services.
• Research, analyze, and summarize industry trends to inform renewal strategy.
• Evaluate Streaming bundles and partnerships.

Qualifications & Attributes:

• Undergraduate degree in Business or Finance.
• 5 years of experience.
• Prior experience with financial modeling is required.
• Prior experience in distribution finance within the Cable Networks industry preferred.

• Strong business acumen and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Extremely diligent with a high attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in high pressure situations.
• Accountable for quality and accuracy of work.

• Must be a creative problem solver and a quick thinker.

The base compensation range for this position is $105,000.00 to $115,000.00, commensurate with experience.
