Summary

This position reports into MD, Enterprise Risk Management and is responsible for advancing the organization's Risk Management framework and goals through the implementation and adoption of the GRC and other risk tools. This individual is responsible for leading the development and maintenance of GRC components and use cases/modules (taxonomies, control inventories, risk assessments, control testing, model governance, etc.), creating GRC support materials, and business user documentation. This position is responsible for managing 1 direct report to assist with GRC maintenance.

Major Duties Responsibilities

  • Contribute towards the larger goal of a fully integrated enterprise risk management framework and the selection and implementation of a GRC tool for risk assessment, aggregating, and monitoring across the organization.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a detailed GRC implementation project plan. Lead development and documentation of business requirements for new uses cases and enhancements to existing modules. Lead special projects and support additional GRC component implementation initiatives and deliverables to drive Risk Management goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and job aides to assist with the administration and support of the GRC platform for business users.
  • Effectively deliver communications to various constituencies across all levels of the organization, including creating polished deliverables such as user guides or procedures, develop engaging SharePoint pages to house and convey key information, and effectively present information in person or via conference call.

  • Demonstrate a broad understanding of cross-functional risk disciplines, performance metrics, regulatory methodologies, and exposure to operational risk.

  • Establish and leverage cross-functional partnerships and network with key internal constituencies.
  • Manage additional requests as business needs change and evolve.

Education, Experience Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in risk management; preferred in a financial institution.
  • Project management experience with large, multi-phased projects, system implementations and system administration experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Program management experience with enterprise-wide impact.
  • Experience with and knowledge of compliance and risk management concepts, knowledge of regulatory and audit control standards a plus.
  • Consultative aptitude to support cross-organizational GRC goals and objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities/deadlines and interact with employees at all levels.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven interpersonal, communication, development, and management skills.

The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000USD to $115,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
