Job Description
The Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible for assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial information required to prepare consolidated financial statements and disclosures for a portfolio of consolidated and unconsolidated shopping malls.Â
Responsibilities

Prepare consolidated financial statements and assist in the preparation of footnote disclosures for SEC filings, including quarterly earnings release and Forms 10-Q and 10-K
-
Work with external and internal auditors to assist in quarterly and year-end audit procedures

Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements for internal reporting
-
Perform monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement variance analysis

Assist with monthly preparation, consolidation and analysis of forecast information

Prepare ad hoc analyses for management and internal and external auditors
-
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley
-
Assist with special projects, as needed

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Bachelor's Degree
-
CPA certification
-
5 or more years' experience working in big four public accounting
-
5 or more years' experience with SEC reporting or five years' experience working in corporate or real estate accounting
-
Current knowledge of GAAP, SEC and other sources of authoritative accounting
-
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, staff and external firms
-
Excellent written and oral communication skills
-
Must be proactive, deadline focused and organized
-
Must have strong analytical ability and proven problem-solving skills
-
Experience with accounting software required; JD Edwards and Hyperion experience preferred
-
Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills required
-
1-year supervisory experience preferred
