Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

What your background should look like:

Position Overview

Overall mange the 3PL DCs' operation performance in China. Lead the team to achieve the goal setting and support business requirement on DC service, including:
• Team management and talent development.
• Supervise the day-to day DC/ warehouse operation
• Optimize the DC process and system
• KPI report and analysis
• 3PL billing check and DC cost management
• Lead DC footprint projects such as new DC setup and DC relocation

Key Responsibilities:

Team leading
(i) Manage a DC team with 6-7 subordinates
(ii) Define roles, assign tasks to team members and timely review the progress
(iii) Setup the backup plan in team and motivate the x-training and job rotation

DC Operation Management
(i) Day-to day operation supervision in 3PL DC to ensure the process, regulation & policy to be followed strictly.
(ii) Check the operational and KPI report submitted by 3PL
(iii) handle accidents, shipping related complaint from internal or external in order to keep customer satisfaction and minimize the negative impact to TE and customer
(iv) Inventory accuracy monitor and control to ensure the inventory accuracy reaches the target level and all the variances are posted on time.
(v) keep close communication with other internal functions in order to ensure the smooth co-ordination among functions in logistics.

Communication
(i) Understand customer's requirements through close communication with BU and customers
(ii) Handle customer complaint / special requirements and to drive the ECE
(iii) Keep communication with BU for any special event such as holiday arrangement, new process onboard or any emergencies
(iv) Report the DC performance independently in the regional or global meeting.

SAP/ WMS optimization
(i) Trouble shooting and follow-up with IT team for any SAP /WMS related issues
(ii) Support system testing for new process.
(iii) Work with 3PL to improve the efficiency between the information flow with physical flow.

Process optimization and Cost control
(i) Ability /experience of process optimization on warehouse, and lead the Kaizen project.
(ii) Be familiar with the Six Sigma or Lean concept. Able to diagnose and improve the warehouse process with those tools.
(iii) Initiate and drive all kinds of the cost saving projects.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor or above, Major in logistics, industry engineering or operation management.
• > 10 years working experience in DC / Warehouse Management. > 3 years' experience in 3PL warehouse management.
• Fluent English in speak and write;
• Good teamwork player and have good cross function communication skill
• Have knowledge in LEAN manufacturing/LEAN warehouse. GB/BB is preferred.
• Familiar with SAP SD, MM and WM module
• Skillful at MS office applications.
