Mgr ITSM & QA

Primary Duties

1. Establish and enforce QA procedures and methodologies, in order to ensure appropriate levels of testing for all software systems as well as compliance with system specifications and business requirements.

2. Define and implement QA strategic goals for complex technical systems and applications.

3. Oversee development of detailed test proposals, strategies, estimates and schedules.

4. Use known industry standard quality assurance testing methodologies and tools to achieve superior quality products and services.

5. Work closely with end-users, IT staff, and vendors to establish quality standards and ensure systems meet those quality standards.

6. Manage the ITSM platform. Oversee requests for changes, updates or modifications to new or existing processes and provide direction to the ITSM team.

7. Knowledgeable in structured development protocols, e.g. version management, change management and build processes.

8. Develop, implement and manage the IT change control methodology

9. Establish, implement and monitor all processes and technologies related to IT deployments.

10. Oversee strategic as well as on demand deployment planning for complex technical systems and applications.

11. Establish and maintain the process training, communication protocols, maintenance windows, and process administration, for deployments across diverse business units.

12. Establish, implement and monitor IT department service strategies and processes based upon the ITIL methodology.

13. Develop and monitor functional area budgets to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Plan and direct the achievement of area goals and objectives within established Company policies.

14. Maintain adequate staffing levels to ensure proper administration of activities. Select, develop, motivate and evaluate the performance of direct reports.

15. Evaluate, select and implement tools for QA, Deployments, and IT Service Management.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, business or a closely related field and six years progressively responsible related experience in Quality Assurance, including some supervisor experience; or equivalent.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Requires the ability to communicate, persuade and/or influence internal and/or external customers at a high level such as senior management on matters of a technical and/or complex nature.

NUMERIC SKILLS:

Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Requires a very high level of computer skills in order to use various technologies in the PC, LAN and office equipment areas of the business with an excellent understanding of programming languages.

WORK CONDITIONS:

Works in an office environment.

Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
