The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with peers and other cross-functional team members including define sub-system design requirement specifications and design architectures
- Manage multi-disciplinary electrical design projects with hands-on contributions from scoping, requirements, budget/resource planning, gap analysis, risk management, design implementation, validation and release through engineering product design life cycles
- Manage and collaborate across multi-technical disciplines and cross-functional teams
- Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team driving functional teams program deliverables
- Manage design reviews and phase exits to senior and exec level management
- Manage value-added third party vendors, services and contractors/consultants to deliver turn-key design solutions
- Provide project status updates to upper management and stakeholder committees
- Drives continuous improvement in the quality of our processes and systems. Creates internal / external reports and analytics to measure performance and provide opportunities for improvement and customer satisfaction
- Communicate and work effectively with a global engineering, Spares, Sales, and Marketing teams to provide high level of support on new products
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering development, sustaining and continuous improvement
- Must be a team player and have strong leadership, critical thinking, drive to executions, effective communication and problem-solving skills including good presentation skills
- Experience as hardware or software development team leader is a plus
- Experience in semi-conductor capital equipment development is a plus
- Previous engineering functional management role is a plus
