THE CHALLENGE
Based in downtown San Jose, California, Adobe's Area Security Manager supports the resiliency of Adobe's flagship offices. They will be charged with developing operational objectives, participating with other managers/teams in crafting and supporting strategic plans. Moreover, implement various programs to reduce risk and build exceptional employee experiences.

Successful performance will require building strong-relationships with Executive Assistants, Global Site Operations (GSO), local Employee Workplace Solutions, Employee Experience (HR), Legal and Business Leaders. This person should have extensive experience in investigations and crisis management as well. The position requires minimal travel to other offices and for training opportunities.
The Security Manager must be a mentor, a leader, a listener, a partner, a collaborator, a facilitator, a fixer, and skilled in security management. Moreover, must lean in, think outside the norm, take-on emerging issues, and champions an exceptional experience for employees, visitors, and vendors. This role will be based in San Jose, CA full time.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Works with Regional Director of Safety and Security - Americas to establish strategic objectives for sites
- Implement and deliver programs, build cross functional support relationships to influence key-stakeholders and improve compliance
- Act as liaison between the Global Security team and local teams
- Meet with site leaders, local executives, and BU heads; understand their objectives and develop plans to mitigate risk exposure
- Responsible for establishing a staffing and program support and monitoring and controlling all spending
- Perform/support investigations regarding policy violations, worker misconduct, criminal activity, workplace threats and other potential risks to Adobe and its personnel
- Establish local Incident Management Program, conduct training and act as onsite incident manager in the event of an emergency or disaster and support the company's business continuity program
- Develop strong partnerships with Facilities, Real Estate, Executive Assistants and Workplace Experience teams to deliver and support exceptional programs and services for employees
- Conduct detailed site Security and Health & Safety Assessments and work with appropriate management to rectify any problems/concerns encountered
- Coordinate site Safety Committees, prepare safety reports and track safety mitigation activities
- Respond, investigate, and report all information regarding theft, alarms, accidents, injuries, and other incidents that may occur at the assigned sites
- Responsible for new employee orientation, ergonomics, assisting EH&S, events, and other onsite GSS programs
- Coordinate delivery of emergency response training, safety training and other programs though vendors and other personnel in the field
- Provide security support to facilities project teams for office construction and moves to include system design, vendor coordination and final testing for the facilities assigned
- Shall ensure that their office(s) are in compliance with all corporate, department guidelines, and corporate policies
- Establish relationships with Local Law Enforcement, Fire Department, and Emergency Response, and Local Community Members
- Responsible for coordinating the budget, security vendors, and approving invoices and expenses
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Experience in role where they had responsibility for making life safety decisions
- Corporate investigative experience and previous Law Enforcement or related government experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree required and at least 10 years related work experience, 5 years of which should be in corporate security management
- Ability to evaluate intricate issues, influence leaders and build workable solutions vertically and horizontally in a matrixed organization
- Strong customer service mentality and desire to build programs that drive positive brand and improved work experiences
