Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing the supply chain departments strategic direction and goals and ensuring alignment with Plant and Corporate Strategic objectives. Responsible for monitoring the adequacy of action plans to meet the plants strategic objectives, monitoring performance towards achieving our goals, and ensuring alignment throughout the entire organization
• Plans, coordinates, directs, and controls activities related to the production scheduling, plant procurement and finished goods transportation for sterilization.
• Organizes, supervises, and directs the work of warehouse personnel engaged in receiving, issuing, and delivering supplies and equipment.
• Prepares instructions regarding purchasing and finished goods systems as well as procedures.
• Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability
• Prepares reports based on trend information.
• Implements, manages, and monitors planning and procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements.
• Manages team that prepares, and issues purchase orders and change notices. Works with other functional teams to ensure raw material availability is available for plant finished good production.
• Assigns procurement requests to the appropriate personnel.
• Arranges for disposal of surplus materials and finished goods.
• Creation and approval of the scorecard measurements.
• Responsible for working collaboratively with the leadership team to develop, implement and support plant improvement processes
• This position supervises planner/buyers and a warehouse lead/supervisor

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of 68,000 to 156,000. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage activities of departments through subordinates who exercise full supervision in terms of cost, methods, and employees. Ability to interpret and analyze statistical data and information and financial reports, understand and resolve technical difficulties, interface with internal engineering/technical experts and external technical representatives, manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing plant setting, be resourceful to a large manufacturing department.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to solve practical problems and take care of a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Education and/or Experience

• BS in Operations/Logistics or similar degree; at least 5 years proven experience. APICS certification preferred.
