Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Manager of Supply Chain 2 for the Land and Maritime Sensors (LMS) Business Unit (BU). This position is located in Linthicum, MD with part time remote work available.
The Manager of Supply Chain will report to the Global Supply Chain Manager for the LMS BU. The selected candidate will be responsible for the cost, schedule, and performance of suppliers supporting the G/ATOR program. The individual will be responsible for mission success of supply chain responsibilities and ensure suppliers perform to the committed schedules, terms, conditions, and contractual requirements/specifications and drawings.
This management position will have direct professional reports, which entails day to day direction and oversight of the employee's work product and individual career development requiring the ability to lead, recruit, motivate and develop a team.The candidate should understand the aspects of running the business and be able to interact/collaborate with Program and Business Management as well with Engineering, Operations and Quality to cohesively drive successful program performance.

Salary Range: $124,600.00 - $186,800.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to basepay. Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Management of a direct staff of 8 or more professionals consisting of Global Supply Chain Specialists.
- Indirect support to OU Directors and Program Managers as well as coordination with other functions within the G/ATOR Operations team
- Provide guidance and training to ensure professionals are performing to or exceeding the expectation of their position and established management goals
- Development of negotiation strategies, plans, and coordination with G/ATOR Subcontract Manager.
- Support of proposal activities
- Oversite of Program cost and monthly forecasting/receipts
- Develop strong relationship with OU Business Managers to ensure cost goals and challenges are understood and supported.
- Lead and coordinate with necessary functionals to review and approve supplier agreements (i.e Teaming Agreements, Long Term Pricing Agreements) in coordination with Subcontract Manager and other required Supply Chain teams.
- Identification and communication of deliverables needed from other functional areas.
- Exhibits end-to-end supply chain competency within Supply Chain functions (Planning, Sourcing, Small Business Plan, Supplier Quality, Contracts, Analytics, Compliance, etc.)
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with at least 9 years of demonstrated success/problem solving skills in supply chain, program management, procurement, purchasing or closely related experience; OR a master's degree with at least 7 years of supply chain, program management, procurement, purchasing or closely related experience
- Minimum of 3+ years of team lead and/or management of people
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain government security clearance
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP
- Demonstrates leadership success and ability to influence direct reports, interact with peers and/or all levels of management
- Highly effective interpersonal skills, commitment to fostering an engaging environment for others and excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Earned Value Management Systems, supplier financial reporting/forecasting, contracting/subcontracting, or supplier/program/product scheduling
- Demonstrated working knowledge of supplier financial reporting/forecasting and scheduling
- Knowledge of running large scale programs with significant material content and experience with large shop order launches, SONARs, and baselining.
- At least 3 years of previous experience in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Management, or related field
- Demonstrates success/problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering, or program management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior leadership in developing team or working with teams, training others, &/or mentoring others in career development activities
- Working knowledge of Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR and FAR/DFARS
- Ability to successfully manage complex supplier specifications, drawings, SOW's, and supplier issue resolution
- Strong business acumen and ability to operate in a fact paced development environment that consists of leading-edge technology suppliers and non-traditional supply base.
Salary Range: $124,600.00 - $186,800.00
