Miami Piercer

At Studs we only pierce ears and we only use single-use needles. We’re hiring for piercers in our Miami Wynwood studio. We are looking for full-time team members. 

Salary: $70,000

Key Responsibilities:

Piercing Procedure 

• Proficient in delivering a smooth piercing at a perpendicular angle with a gentle transition from needle to taper; and taper to flat back or clicker 
• Well-versed in trouble-shooting methods regarding how to reinsert taper in the case of a loss of connection between taper and jewelry
• Ensures proper inventory management of piercing jewelry used during the piercing procedure 
• Feels empowered to flag issues to the Piercing Operations Lead as issues arise 

Bedside Manner & Client Interaction

• Works at a steady, safe, and professional pace within the 20 minute appointment timeframe 
• Have confident, clear, and professional communication with clients 
• Be able to deliver care to a client pre-, during, and post-piercing, including medical emergencies as needed
• Delivery of aftercare points and service recovery, as needed 
• Interact with clients in the Front of House sales

Work Safe Practices 

• Consistently disinfects piercing room before and after piercing procedure
• Consistent awareness and application of hygienic practices (i.e. cross-contamination)

Machine Maintenance/Recordkeeping 

• Shows consistent and detailed record keeping of sterilized inventory and tools
• Can perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on all machines (Ultrasonic, Statim, and Autoclave) 
• Feels confident to flag issues to Retail Leadership when machine issues arise

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience with needle piercing 
• 40 hours per week; you must be available for five shifts per week including all weekend days 
• Must be able to pierce while standing during 8+ hour shifts
• Must pierce a minimum 18 appointments a day, 5 days a week
• Must be able to visually inspect ear anatomy to execute advanced piercings
• Must be able to deliver piercings with a steady hand
• Must be able to handle chemicals safely
• Must be able to lift 20 lbs boxes
• Experience working with both internally threaded and push-pin piercing jewelry 
• Experience working with Statim Autoclaves and relevant piercing supplies (needles, tapers, etc.) 
• Strong portfolio (please include portfolio or instagram account along with resume)
• Knowledgeable about the latest trends in piercing artistry and practice
• A passion for delivering outstanding customer experience
