Company:
Neuralinkās goal is to develop and deliver general purpose I/O devices to the brain at scale. Short term, this means developing brain computer interface (BCI) for use by individuals with ailments for which our initial simple, higher risk BCI constitutes a significant improvement in quality of life or health (e.g., fluent generalized computer control for people with quadriplegia). Medium term, this means more significant interventions for ailments which require novel devices, surgeries, and neuroscience (e.g., upper limb re-animation via spinal cord stim, visual prosthetic). Long term, this means BCI for elective augmentation of healthy individuals.
Team Description:
Microfab team within Brain Interfaces designs, manufactures and verifies the thin-film microelectrode array that records and relays neural signals to the body of the implant. The team operates largely at an in-house cleanroom facility in Fremont. As a Microfabrication Technician at Neuralink, you will collaborate with engineers to maintain equipment and processes within specification and to improve array quality and throughput. As such you will be instrumental in ramping production and accelerating Neuralinkās progress.
Job Responsibilities:Ā
- Operate equipment such as reactive ion etcher, e-beam evaporator, sputter physical vapor deposition system, plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition, photoresist spin coater, mask aligner, and wet sinkĀ
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment calibration and performanceĀ
- Ensure product quality and conformance to design requirementsĀ
- Collaborate with engineers to refine, troubleshoot, and improve processes while maintaining or enhancing product quality and yield.
- Assist in data collection and analysis of throughput, quality, and repeatability of manufacturing processesĀ
- Implement process improvements to the production lineĀ
- Create and maintain process documentation and equipment documentation including daily process logs and equipment logs
- Keep a clean, organized, and thoroughly maintained workspaceĀ
Key Qualifications:
- Resourceful, flexible, and adaptable; no task is too big or too small
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong self-discipline
- 2+ years of hands-on experience.
- Ability to work in a medical device regulatory environment
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and constantly changing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelorās degree in an engineering, math or science discipline
- Experience in a cleanroom environment working with processes where precision is criticalĀ
- Experience with design software such as CAD
- Solid understanding of basic physics and engineering fundamentalsĀ
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, distill, and disseminate relevant technical information
- Demonstrated ability to visually detect defects and repair in a fast paced environment, and report them when necessary
Pay Transparency:Ā
Based on California law, the following details are for California individuals only:
California base salary range: $67,500.00 - $75,000.00 and eligible for equity and benefits.
