Job Description

Motorola Solutions is looking for candidates with strong Microsoft Windows administration experience including professional experience in vulnerability management and the Windows patching process. 

In this role, you will work directly with the software engineering team to deliver critical security patches to our customers on a monthly basis. You will collaborate with the test lab and field technicians to troubleshoot problems as they arise and come up with innovative solutions. You will automate processes that are manual and time consuming through scripting.

Responsibilities

• Assemble a curated list of monthly Microsoft patches for distribution to customers

• Collaborate with field technicians and assist them in troubleshooting issues

• Work with software developers to build automation to help scale a growing customer base

• Assist with improving the current toolset by identifying and building new capabilities with a focus on security

• Collaborate with architecture team to design and build tools and services

• Assume ownership role and mastery of applicable business and technical areas and knowledge share with team members

• Interface with primary internal customers and business owners to improve process efficiency

Required Skills: 

• Experience with Microsoft Windows server vulnerability management, patching and maintenance

• Hands-on experience in Microsoft Windows Server and ActiveDirectory system administration 

• Python or Powershell scripting in a Windows environment

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

• Good interpersonal communication skills

• Bachelor's degree or 1+ years of relevant experience

 

Desired Skills: 

• Understanding of network protocols and ports (TCP/IP, SSH, FTP, ICA, HTTPS, etc.)

• Familiarity with cloud technology in AWS, GCP or Azure

• Familiarity with DevOps practices

• Experience with Linux operating systems, administration and patching a plus

• MCSA or MCSE certification
