About the Team/Role

The Cloud Cost Analyst plays a pivotal role in optimizing cloud expenditures across multiple platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP). They are responsible for meticulous cost tracking, analysis, and strategic decision-making to ensure efficient cloud resource utilization. This position requires collaboration with finance teams to provide accurate cost forecasting and reporting.

How you'll make an impact

• Develop custom reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with actionable insights into cloud costs.

• Generate detailed monthly cost reports highlighting spending trends, variances, and potential areas for optimization.

• Conduct in-depth analysis of cloud resource usage to identify opportunities for cost reduction.

• Provide rightsizing recommendations to align resource allocations with actual workloads.

• Evaluate and implement Reserved Instances and Savings Plans to leverage long-term discounts.

• Incorporate historical trends, usage patterns, and future initiatives into the forecasting process.

• Collaborate with finance to develop accurate cloud cost forecasts on a quarterly and annual basis.

• Maintain relationships with cloud service providers to stay informed about pricing changes and new offerings.

• Educate teams on cloud cost best practices and optimization strategies.

• Effectively communicate cost analysis findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information technology, or a related field.

• Relevant cloud certifications are preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Google Cloud Certified Associate Cloud Engineer).

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret complex data sets.

• Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Proven experience in cloud cost analysis and optimization, specifically with AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• In-depth knowledge of cloud pricing models, billing structures, and cost management tools.
