Location: Columbia MD

Position Summary:

Sparksoft is looking for an IT technician for our Columbia, MD office. This position will support all aspects of IT user support from system repair to troubleshooting access issues. This requires you to be full time on-site.

Responsibilities:

• User account management

• Resolve issues as they are reported to the service desk

• Create knowledge base articles

• System maintenance and upgrades

• Deploy software and updates

• Deploy IT assets as needed

• Operation of assigned IT systems

• Support of IT security

• End user support

• Support of facility physical security systems

• Enforce IT and security procedures and policy

• Network support experience

• Audit support as needed (e.g. ISO 27001)

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills:

• Understanding of User administration (i.e., RBAC)

• Excellent Customer Service skills (supporting internal and external customers)

• Computer break/fix

• Computer repair/upgrade

• Windows 10

• Advanced troubleshooting experience

• Advanced Networking experience/understanding (Port up/down, DCHP, etc.)

Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems

• Help desk support software experience

• Inventory control

Desired Skills:

• Apple OS X

• Scripting

• ITIL experience

• Windows 11

• Corporate VoIP phone systems

• Physical access systems

Education:

3-5 years of IT support

College degree preferred

Certification such as Network + preferred
