Job Description
Torch is seeking an exceptional Mid-level M&S Engineer to specialize in the battle management component including surveillance, engagement processing, fire control and the interaction/communication infrastructure for organic PATRIOT and the integration of PATRIOT into the IAMD framework. If you have an interest in advancing the state-of-the-art in battle management and fire control architectures designed to maintain over-match in an evolving threat environment, then we have the career opportunity for you.
Our goal is to understand and analyze the PATRIOT weapon system capabilities with new algorithms designed to enable an optimized response to complex threat attacks. Prototype solutions are developed and evaluated in low-fidelity simulations, followed by integration into various high-fidelity simulation architectures. As design concepts mature, they are transitioned to Programs of Record for tactical implementation.
Job Requirements
The preferred candidate will have direct experience with Army air and missile defense simulations and have a working knowledge of battle management and fire control applications. The candidate will be proficient in MATLAB and/or C++ and have some experience in integrating mixed-language simulations. The candidate will be comfortable analyzing the performance of high-fidelity weapon simulations, and to develop and evaluate design solutions.
A B.S Degree (MS preferred) in Engineering, Physics, or another technical discipline from an accredited university and 5-8 years relevant experience is required.
Position requires that candidate hold a secret level security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to maintain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
