Mid-Level Network Engineer

Description

Concept Plus is seeking a Network Engineer. The ideal candidate should have a solid network engineering background, particularly in Cisco ISE, routing, and Cisco Firepower firewalls. This position is a combination of remote and on-site work.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 support for network issues, including diagnosing and troubleshooting complex network problems
• Experience with administering and maintaining a Network Access Control (NAC) solution utilizing Cisco's Identity Service Engine (ISE)
• Manage and optimize network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco ASA and FTD),VPN, Cisco ISE)
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
• Work with Cisco ISE for network access control policies, profiling services, posture assessment and guest access services
• Leverage cloud technologies ( GCP and OCI preferred) to design and implement future-proof network solutions
• Support the deployment of IPv6 across the enterprise
• Make use of SolarWinds and Nagios for monitoring network performance

Additional Responsibilities

• Extensive experience with Cisco routing and switching protocols (e.g., IPSEC, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
• Employees should be able to work independently with minimal supervision

  Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE, routing, and cloud technologies (GCP/OCI preferred)

• Excellent troubleshooting experience

Required Qualifications

• Active CCNP Certification
• 3+ years of experience as a hands-on Network Engineer building, implementing, and supporting network hardware
• US Citizen with ability to obtain a US government clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with wireless (WLAN) and Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) is a plus Knowledge of Terraform is a plus
