Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mid-Level Network Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. This position is located in Ramstein Air Base, Germany (International Assignment) *NO REMOTE WORK**

What You'll Be Doing:

• Conducts cost/benefit analysis and provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
• Conducts testing of network design.
• Responsible for monitoring network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options.
• Plans implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network.
• Advises network users of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations.
• May be assigned responsibility for the management of the systems administration function, including associated staff.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years' experience or Masters with 6-8 years' experience in engineering, computer science, or information technology
• Experience with network tunneling, provisioning, and routing tables
• Experience configuring services in a Linux environment
• Experience with data parsing and segmentation, multicast implementation
• Experience working with Java Virtual Machine (JVM)
• Intermediate knowledge of networking principles and IPSEC
• Intermediate knowledge of switches, routers, and firewalls
• Familiarity with network and system documentation in Visio
• Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
• Secret clearance is required
