Job Summary:
ASRC Federal is seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Software Developer with a minimum of 5 years of experience and hands-on expertise in designing and developing complex solutions. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of Java, C++, and SQL Server, and be proficient in managing both back-end and front-end applications. Additionally, the suitable candidate will have a track record of ensuring responsive design, performance optimization, and code security. Familiarity with section 508 compliance coding and UI/UX design is crucial for this role. As a Mid-Level Software Developer, you will lead and mentor junior developers and play a pivotal role in the design, development, testing, and implementation of software solutions. This position requires the ability to obtain Federal background clearance, and it is essential that applicants be US citizens, as no visa or work permit sponsorship will be offered. Please note that relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze user requirements and design and develop complex software solutions that meet client needs.
- Develop and maintain high-quality software code using Java, C++, and SQL Server for both front-end and back-end applications.
- Write efficient SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation, ensuring optimal database performance.
- Implement responsive design principles to deliver user-friendly interfaces across different devices and platforms.
- Optimize software performance and ensure code security to meet industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with section 508 accessibility standards during software development.
- Provide expertise in UI/UX design to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
- Participate in the entire software development life cycle, including testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the delivery of reliable and secure software applications.
- Implement DevSecOps practices to uphold the highest levels of security and stability in the software development process.
- Mentor and manage junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software development.
- Strong project experience with Java, C++, and SQL Server.
- Proficiency in managing both back-end and front-end applications.
- Familiarity with various software development frameworks.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise in responsive design and performance optimization.
- Experience with section 508 compliance coding for accessibility.
- Proficiency in UI/UX design principles.
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain Federal background clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
