A REMOTE Software Engineer job is currently available at Belcan working remotely from anywhere in the US. This is a full time, direct job with full benefits including eligible for overtime pay. The selected candidate will have experience working software activities, either development or verification, and have an Engineering or Computer Science degree. If selected, you would be helping with our vision to advance the embedded aerospace industry by learning aspects of safety-critical software development lifecycle and leveraging that knowledge to contribute to project success for Belcan and our customers.

Job duties:• Subset of the software lifecycle (planning, requirement definition, design, implementation, integration, testing, and results documentation)• Coordination with team members, customers, and leadership to support project goals• Candidates are expected to help raise the level of performance of the team, through a collaborative team setting, consistent communication, and willingness to help others achieve success• Travel may be requested, approximately 10% of the year or less

Qualifications:• Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline• 3+ years' experience with subset of the software lifecycle• Ability/desire to adhere to project software lifecycle processes• Interpersonal and communication skills• Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is a required

Desired but not required skills/experience:• DO-178 knowledge• Writing software requirements, developing software design, and/or integration of software/hardware integration• C programing• Model-based development, such as MathWorks or SCADE tools

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $70,000 to $105,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
