This is an on-site role in Washington, D.C.

We are seeking an Application Tester that is well-rounded with the willingness and desire to learn. Our ideal candidate is passionate about technology, learning new things, and applying technology to solve our Nation’s most critical challenges—this is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and grow with a company that rewards hard work. You will partner with applications to support first responders and field operators, developing and integrating innovative solutions to meet their mission-critical problems through providing hands-on software design and development expertise for multiple programming languages and system environments. In addition, you will collaborate with other team members, project sponsors, and government personnel to devise practical solutions to problems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and evaluate software and applications for bugs, functionality, and data validation.
• Work directly with business and development teams to resolve software and business requirements issues.
• Perform backend and batch testing in a mixed virtual/physical environment.
• Develop Use Cases, Shall Statements, and User Stories, as needed.
• Participate in functional testing, integration testing, and regression testing (manual and automated).
• Perform Test planning, developing test cases/test scripts, test execution, error reporting, analysis, and error verification.
• Provide test reports and document problems found, and take steps to reproduce in the issue tracking tool and team site.
• Perform quality assurance and end-user acceptance testing to confirm the product satisfies end-user requirements and needs
• Create test scripts for training during UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
• Communicate with technical and business personnel about business requirements, system-related capabilities, and enhancement status
• Create and maintain test data to simulate real-life use cases

Experience and Technical Skills:

• 3-5 years minimum IT experience in SharePoint and .Net environments.
• 3-5 years performing on Agile teams
• Professional history of performing Automation, Regression, System, Integration, Interface, Functional, Stress, Performance, Section 508 Compliance, and Cross Browser Compatibility testing.
• Experience working directly with business or development teams to resolve software and business requirements issues.
• Hands-on experience in creating and maintaining Test artifacts like Test Plan and strategy, Test Cases, Automated Test Scripts, and Test Results.
• Profession proficiency in performing test plans and test Use Cases; developing test scripts, testing activity executions, demonstrations, and related activities independently using Agile Software Development Life Cycle or Waterfall Software Development Life Cycle.
• Demonstrate superior verbal and written communication skills
• History of working well within a team and independently.
