Summary We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at BAPKO Metal, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various welding tasks to produce high-quality metal products. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our commitment to excellence in manufacturing. Responsibilities • Perform welding operations using various techniques including Stick and FCAW. • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications for welding tasks. • Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards during all welding processes. • Utilize hand tools and machinery effectively to complete projects accurately. • Conduct quality inspections of welds to ensure they meet required specifications. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols. • Weld components i.e. base plates, stiffener plates, cap plates, rebar • Weld larger frames (including CJP welds) at a moderate to fast pace • Position material and or frames for welding using the overhead crane • Replacing wire in welding machines Requirements • Proven experience as a Welder with strong skills in various welding techniques. • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs. • Must know how to operate a grinder. • Must be certified to operate the overhead and jib crane • Must be certified in FCAW (wire) • 3 years minimum experience welding in a shop environment. • Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to welding. • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints. • Experience with plasma cutting and machining is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
