Mid Systems Engineer

Belay Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level System Engineer (SE) to join our intel team. The SE will assist with data analysis, documentation, system administration, and dev ops. The SE's role is to assist with the development of system requirements and functional requirements. Additionally, there will be some software development and scripting tasks available. This role of the SE requires an all-around computer professional who has had some exposure to both system administration and software development. The ideal SE candidate will be a team player who can be a self-starter that can quickly learn new technologies.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

• TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
• Ten (10) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Candidates are required to have the following skills:

• Experienced leader, mentor, and bringing people together to work on common goals.
• Experienced with gathering and documenting requirements, long-term planning, and working with outside teams.
• Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570 compliant cert (i.e., Security+), or obtained within 90 days of starting.
• Active RedHat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) or better, or obtained within 90 days of starting.
• At least 3 years of experience with Linux.
• Familiarity with puppet, ansible, and VMware.
• Experience with hardware lifecycles.
• Nice to haves: L2/L3 network experience and NFS or S3 storage appliances.
